32:11
I did my application in October and have just been told I am rejected even though I have made over 120 payments on my loans and have worked at qualifying employers the whole time. Fed Loan said I only made one payment. Such a joke. I read fed loan is declining over 90% of applications.

The signature Part is the trick. So glad she’s talking about it.
Gayla Robbins
32:43
What if the qualifying organization is no longer in operations?
Kristi Scott
33:03
It *cannot* be an e-signature. It must be a digital version of signing or a live signature.
Tina Clegg
33:12
Make sure they qualify mine did not have the correct tax code
Wafa Hozien
33:33
I worked at an HBCU and they do not do electronic signatures, they request everything be mailed out to them via Post Office.

Sharina Gilbert-Henry
35:05
I tried back in 2019 and disapproved because my loans are with Navient. I was told I must consolidate with Direct Loans and then apply. Is that best?
Toni Monette
35:16
The other thing that you need to do is consolidate your loans FIRST if you do not have Department of Education loans. You have to have direct loans first to be eligible for the PSLF and/or the extension.

You need to print the form,, have your employer sign it, and then submit it for them. That way, you know for sure that it was sent, and is not sitting on their secretary's desk, simply because that person doesn't like you (happened to me)

for people with loans at Navient, verify your loan type. you can verify your loan type on studentaid.gov. if your loan type says ffel or FFELP, you must consolidate to a direct loan first

Are there lawyers or someone that can help us navigate the system? I consolidated my loans with Fed Loan, was approved in November, sent my PSLF application for the expansion and was denied stating I only made 1 payment. I have worked for over 20 years in the non profit system, all my employers are qualified per the student aid site, and I have made over 120 payments. I have spent hours on the phone with Fed loan and Ombusdman. I am so tired. I am still working two jobs and have done so for two years, have almost no savings and am so overwhelmed.

What if you are retired and you have left your employer for a long time.. Also, what if you have consolidated two loans an have paid $47,000 in interest and have$43,000 remaining? how does the paid interest play a part in this situation?

This is all very confusing. I taught Theater, Speech, & Debate for almost 20 years in Public Schools. I graduated from Spelman College only owing $11,000, but that debt has grown to $48,000 because of interest. Everytime I tried to get Loan Forgiveness I was denied because I wasn't a Math or Science Teacher. That is so unfair. We teach the SAME KIDS!!! Please help me understand what I need to do to get the Debt OFF my credit. What can I do? I taught in Alief ISD from 2009 - 2015.

Do you know why once you consolidate your child loans with your loans and now can only repay in ICR, they decided to now only offer parents one repayment option? I was in the IBR plan and was told I only had ICR as a option once I added my daughters loans. My monthly repayment increased over 500 dollars but my income remained the same.

So much misinformation on this program. I have always been employed at colleges and universities (state and private) but was told by my Direct Loan Servicer that only state institutions were eligible. I started to complete my application and all the colleges and universities that employed me are qualified. I may have completed my 120 payments. Infuriated and excited at the same time.
